About This Mission
As a teacher and mental health professional with over five years of experience in addictions and community advocacy, I’ve long committed my life to serving others, not just my own children, but all families facing injustice.
This is not just about one case. It’s about the urgent need for accountability in powerful institutions like the Children’s Aid Society, whose decisions have lasting impacts on families, the Family Law Courts, and the broader systems meant to protect our most vulnerable.

I believe every family is unique. Statements like “children belong with both parents” must be rooted in informed, case-specific understanding, not blanket assumptions. Too often, those with lived experience are silenced while harmful patterns are allowed to continue unchallenged.

This platform exists to amplify truth, demand transparency, and advocate for change that serves the greater good. Because when one family is failed by the system, many more are at risk.
Welcome
Hello, and thank you for visiting this space, a platform dedicated to accountability, healing, and justice within Ontario’s publicly funded institutions, specifically the Children’s Aid Society and the Family Law Court System.

My name is Gurpreet Singh, formerly Gurpreet Rai, and I’m a 43-year-old Sikh mother of two, born in Toronto and raised in Punjab by my maternal grandparents. I’m rooted in my faith and spirituality, and I’ve dedicated my life to service as a teacher, a mental health and addictions worker, and a social justice advocate focused on protecting the vulnerable and amplifying unheard voices.

This mission began with a deeply personal fight to protect my children, but it has evolved into something much bigger. I know first-hand how dehumanizing and dismissive these systems can be, especially when families are already at their most fragile. I created this site to share truth, build awareness, and call for real transparency from the institutions that hold life-altering power over families.
A Journey of Resilience
In 2013, I entered a marriage I hoped would bring stability and love. Like many, I held onto hope longer than I should have, for the sake of my children and under the weight of cultural expectations. When my marriage ended abruptly in 2024, I was left devastated, questioning my identity and future as a single mother.
Despite the pain, I’ve emerged stronger. I’ve worked hard to reclaim my health — physically, mentally, and emotionally — and most importantly, to be the stable force my children need and deserve. I've shed 45 pounds, but more importantly, I’ve shed years of silence, shame, and self-doubt.
Why This Matters
This platform is about more than one family. It's about how broken systems fail good parents, and how easily protective actions, especially by mothers, are misunderstood, minimized, or weaponized against them.

We need a system that listens, that believes, and that leads with empathy, not bureaucracy. Furthermore, we need better training, stronger oversight, and the courage to speak up.

No child should be left unprotected.
No mother should have to fight alone.
No voice should be dismissed because it speaks uncomfortable truths.

Thank you for being here.
